Stem Mastering, Regular Mastering, Mixing and Mastering

all the basic rules

For the success of the final mastering you need to follow some basic rules

… I advise you to carefully read the rest of the page …

I guess if you’re on this page does not even have to mention that for a good mastering requires that you have performed a good mixdown with all the rules, equipment, capacity and so on … but if you have trouble even to run a good mixdown well, then we could let you contact us for a quote

Rules for audio stuff

PREPARING THE TRACK FOR REGULAR MASTERING:

1 Stereo Wav/Aiff Sample rate: 44.1/88.2/176.4 Khz – Bit: 24/32 bit

IMPORTANT!
NEVER
use the normalize functions and dynamics processors (compressors, limiters and maximizers)on the master channel . NO Dithering, NO Fade In / Fade out. Keep the mix “quite” leave at least -2dB (Headroom) for a better use of dynamics. Note: The master channel ALWAYS be left at unity (0dB) and without limiter and nothing else (the master channel must forget it we just need to display the levels)

PREPARING FOR STEM MASTERING:

The Stem Mastering is done by providing the track is divided into groups, usually (max 8 stems)

( BD – Bassline – Percussions – hihats – synth – pad – efx – vox )

This service allows a targeted intervention with problems of individual tracks and can achieve results not possible with a regular mastering for ‘export groups keep to the regular mastering each individual group.

PREPARING FOR THE MIXDOWN:

We also provide a comprehensive service mixdown that we need all channels in the mix and if possible the file and project folder showing up as a sequencer was obviously created for this service still recommend consulting with us for a quote for a better and Fast preparation of the material.

Stem Mastering (Stem Mixing + Mastering) – Mixdown + Mastering infos:
the stem mixing and mixdown services is made with daw the comp  eq and other are worked in digital domain then digital signal is converted via Antelope Orion 32 to the analog summing box (Neumann v475-2B) inserted with analog mixbuss compression then routed to the mastering chain

For services “Stem Mastering” and “Mix and Mastering” we require the advance payment in any case will be sent some previews to check the “work in progress” during the job ..

Since we use analog outboard is strongly recommend that you provide us, if there were, all versions of the song as (radio edit – extended – and so on) and also the various mixes or tracks that make up ‘album or ep, because we can’t save a setting like “preset” and mastering should be done on time, otherwise the other versions, mix or tracks will sound slightly different because the ‘equalization should be recreated by ear …
even if you have sound references please provide them at the time of ‘sending tracks
thanks

IMPORTANT Note:

if you have multiple versions of the same song (original – radio edit – extended) up to 3 versions and they are equal in the mix that differ only in the length of the song and then not having to apply different EQ and compression, we can process them all at once at a cost of € 12.00 extra per version .. for example 1 original + radio edit for a total of € 29 + € 12 —— 1 original + radio edit + extended mix total € 29 + € 12 + € 12
the important thing is to be specified once and the files are sent together
